Requirements
 |
Minimum of 12+ months of verifiable over-the-road tractor trailer experience. |
|
Minimum 22 years of age. |
|
No DWI convictions in the last 5 years. |
|
No more than 1 preventable DOT reportable collision and no more than 2
preventable collisions of any type in the last 3 years. |
|
No suspensions, due to being a habitual violator, in the last 3 years. |
|
No convictions for reckless driving, evading an officer, or hit and run in the
last 3 years. |
|
No felony convictions. |
|
Hazardous Material Endorsement not required. |
Job Description
|
Drives
truck to destination in accordance with federal and state regulations,
company policies and procedures and Fleet Manager recommendations |
|
Applies
knowledge of commercial driving |
|
Uses acquired skills on safely maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in challenging situations such as heavy traffic, inclement weather conditions |
Qualifications
|
Possession
of a valid Commercial Driver's License. |
|
Successful
passing of a pre-employment drug screening, physical and job task analysis |
|
Completion
of pre-employment interviewing procedures and driver orientation sessions |
|
Ability
to perform simple mathematical calculations with mental ability to handle
and read receipts, maps, signs and maintain logs and records. |
|
Ability
to operate vehicle safety and control systems |
|
Ability
to communicate in the English language verbally and in writing |
|
Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection and maintenance, and load securement |
